Product Use
- Wash your hands and remove the Humidifier Bottle from packaging.
- Use sterile, distilled or boiled tap water. If using boiled tap water, cool water to room temperature before adding to the Humidifier Bottle.
- Unscrew the lid and add water to the maximum level marking located on the side of the bottle.
- Replace the lid. Ensure that the threads are properly aligned and that the lid is screwed on tight.
- Attach the Humidifier Bottle to an oxygen outlet.
- Test for leaks. Turn the flow to 3 LPM and block the oxygen outlet port on the Humidifier Bottle. A sound should emit within 5 seconds. If there is no sound, check the lid and other connections for leaks. Repeat the leak test.
- Attach the oxygen supply tubing to the oxygen outlet port and adjust oxygen flow to the prescribed setting.
- Check for bubbles in the water. If there are no bubbles check for leaks. If the device sounds, check for tubing obstruction.
- Apply your nasal cannula or oxygen mask.
- If water level drops below the minimum level marking on the Bubble Humidifier add more water.
- Empty and replace the water in Humidifier Bottle daily.
Cleaning Instructions
- Every 14 days wash the Humidifier Bottle with warm soapy water. Use a non-scented, lotion free liquid dish detergent. If you use tap water in your Humidifier Bottle , clean the Humidifier Bottle every 3 days to help prevent buildup of mineral deposits. Do not use bleach or ammonia solutions to clean your device.
- Rinse the Humidifier Bottle thoroughly with clean water.
- After cleaning the device, visually inspect to ensure that it is clean. Repeat cleaning if necessary.
- Replace the Humidifier Bottle every 90 days (3 months), or sooner if unable to remove mineral deposits by cleaning.
